ABSTRACT
Objective:To quantitatively analyse regional ventricular wall motion with color kinesis(CK)by a specially designed soft ware.
Methods:45 normal subjects and 15 old myocardial infarction patients were involved in this study. The end-systolic CK images of left ventricular midpapillary parasternal short axis view and apical four-chamber view were obtained from all subjects. And then regional fraction area change(RFAC)of every myocardial segment at specific phase during systolic cycle was calculated.
Resuits:CK displayed endocardial motion in a multicolor-band mode accurately.Patterns of CK images from normal subjects in the same kind of ultrasound views were relatively consistent.
Conclusion:RFAC is a good index to quantitate regional ventricular wall motion. It is a powerful tool for the dectection of abnormal wall segment in patients with coronary artery disease.
