ABSTRAET Objective To explore the clinical efficency of selective Uterine artierial embolization (UAE) in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods Selective UAE was performed by seldinger's technique in 15 patients with adenonyosis. Bilateral punctured. Using 5.0 F Cobra tube or 3.0 F(Fastracker-325) tube were placed into opposite bilateral. The fresh absorbed gelatin sponge particles which mixed antibiotic drug; and some PVA particles were used to embolise the uterine arterial. The same method used the other side uterine arterial. Investigated the clinical symptomsand uterine volume change. Of all patients. Result After UAE, remission rate of the clinical symptoms of all the patients was 98%, menorrhagia reduced3565%.remission rate of dysmenorrhea was 90%. The volume of Uterine decreased 30-50%. The clinical symptoms were obviously relieved. The colorDoppler flow imaging showed that the flow in the adenomyosis and uterine decreased. Conclusion Selective UAE is an effective and safe treatment method for adenomyosis. Keywords: Adenomyosis; UAE; tube; PVA particles; Gelatin sponge | |
