ABSTRACT Objective: To evalute the method's ability and limitations of Multi-slice CT coronary angiography. Methods:A multi-slice CT system with 4 simultaneously acquired slices and 0.5sec rotation time is used (Siemens Somatom plus 4 Volume Zoom). Total of 80 patients without diagnosed coronary disease underwent cardiac CT. Five 3D reconstruction methods (VR, MIP, MPR, SSD, CTVE) were used. Results:90% of the coronary arteries could be visualized over long segments, on average, 2/3of the main coronary arteries length can be visualized free of motion artifacts. Conclusion:This method is simple, reliable, non-invasive, low risk, comfortable, and non-expensive cardiac imaging modality. It has the potential to rule out CAD, permits evaluation of pre-and postoperative cardiovascular situation, coronary artery calcification screening and so on. Key words:Multi-slice Computed Tomography; Coronary; Angiography
