Abstract
Objective:To probe for the clinical application value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning technique in the diagnose of cochlear nerve and vestibular nerve lesion.
Method:The scanning of temporal bone was carried out with T2WI/3D/TSE in 40 cases suspected of cochlear nerve and vestibular nerve lesion, and then the MRI scanning of bilateral inclined sagittal MRI was performed with T2WI/3D/TSE or B-TFE sequence. The enhancement scanning was performed in 12 cases.
Result:The minute anatomic structure of cochlear nerve and vestibular nerve lesion was clearly shown in 40 cases. Of 40 cases, cochlear nerve and vestibular nerve lesion was found in 15 ears in 12 cases.
Conclusion:With 3D-TSE and B-TFE sequence the minute structure of cochlear nerve and vestibular nerve lesion can be clearly demonstrated; and inclined sagittal MRI scanning plays a very important role in discovering of cochlear nerve and vestibular nerve lesion.
