Abstract
Objective:To exploring the CT,MR and MRS characteristics of PCNSL.
Materials and Methods:CT、 MRI and MRS findings in 15 patients with pathologically proved PCNSL were retrospectively analyzed, 9 male and 6 female, Mean age, 57 years old.
Results:On CT scans, the lesions presented as isodensity or slightly hyperdensity masses without calcifications, peritumoral edema was relatively scarce,25% with obvious edema. The tumor showed markedly homogeneous enhancement after contrast, the lesions displayed hypointensity or isointensity on T1WI, isointensity or hyperintensity on T2WI, isointensity or hyperintensity on FLARI, hyperintensity on DWI, which were markedly enhanced in 9 cases, ring-like enhancement in 6 cases, among it 3 cases showing sharp margines,3 cases showing partly defected margines. proton MR spectroscopy showed different spectral peaks including prominent choline-containing compounds, decreased or absence of N-acetyl aspartate, together with a massively elevated lipid resonances. The presence of highly elevated lipids in a solid tumour is more specificity for the diagnosis of PCNSL.
Conclusion:combining the imaging features of PCNSL with the related pathology will be important in diagnosis.
