ABSTRACT
Purposes:Summary the characters of different thyroid nodules, and study the value of CT in examining thyroid nodules.
Material and method:Analysis the CT signs of 40 thyroid nodules in 34 patients confirmed by operation or FNAB pathology, mainly analysis and evaluate the shape、outline、margin、internal structure and circumference constitutions.
Results:The CT manifestation of thyroid cancer nodules mainly are irregular shape ,foliar sign, clouding margin, low asymmetric density, evident reinforcement, higher calcification rate, smaller calcification focus, circumference disorder and metastasis of lymph node. However, benign thyroid nodules mainly show regular shape, clear margin, low symmetrical density, evident reinforcement, relativity lower calcification rate, without circumference destroy and metastasis of lymph node. The diagnosis coincidence of CT to thyroid cancer nodules is 86% or so,to benign nodules is 90% or so.
Conclusions:CT can efficiently evaluate the characters of thyroid nodules and locate them, furthermore it has high reference value in distinguishing with benign and malignant nodule. When differentiating them,we should synthetically analysis every signs. It is difficult to differentiate them only by one sign.
