Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical application of multi-slice spiral CT for combined pulmonary artery and deep vein(CTVPA)of lower limb in pulmonary embolism(PE) patients, and some relevant questions about scanning techniques.
Methods:48 cases of patients suspected of PE underwent both multi-slice spiral CT pulmonary artery angiography(CTPA) and indirect deep vein venography(CTV) on 16-detector MSCT,then curved planar reconstruction(CPR) and multiple planar reconstruction(MPR) were made to detect thromboli and emboli, and made a contrast between CTV and lower limb US.
Results:A total of 46 patients had pulmonary embolism and/or deep venous thrombosis, including 5 patients with pulmonary embolism alone,16 patients with deep venous thrombosis alone(left 13,right 2,both 1),25 patients with both(left limb 6,right limb 15,both limbs 4),and the other two were free from pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis. A total of 112 PEs and 93 DVTs were detected.Among 112 PEs,15 emboli located in small subsegmental pulmonary arterial branches were diagnosed. And among 93 throboli, there were 65 thromboli whose length was more than or equal to 5cm,account for 70 percent. DVTs were found in 46 lower limbs by CTV,three of them were located in inferior vena cava or iliac isolatedly, and 42 lower limbs by venous Ultrasonography. |
