Abstract
Objective:To observe change of the active volumes of motor cortex with bold oxygenation level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-fMRI) quantitatively and evaluate normal motor cortex active characteritics and rehabilitation therapy of diseases adjoining motor cortex in pre-and post-therapy.
Materials and Methods:Patient group,15 patients whose having motor cortex lesion, and control group,20 normal volunteers, were performed fMRI in motor cortex, following up in patient group after therapy in 1~14 days,1 month and 3 months.
Results:Motor cortex active volumes on fMRI in control group appeared no significant differences between right hand and left hand ,left hand and both hands motor mode(p>0.05). Motor cortex active volumes on fMRI in patient group shown increment among 1 month after therapy with significant differences comparing pre-and post-therapy(P<0.05). The motor cortex active volumes on fMRI increased sharply in first 1-14 days while slowly increased after 1 and 3 months therapy. |
